Domain Management

Over my many years as a developer I have purchased and managed several domains for different projects and ideas. I have purchased and renewed domains(including the one this site is hosted one!) through many different providers and have managed DNS for domains, subdomains, emails, autodiscovery, etc.

I have also provisioned TLS/SSL certificates for many domains and subdomains both manually and automatically.

DNS

DNS management is an important skill and comes with the territory of owning and managing domains.

I have experience in operating simple DNS servers as well as pointing domains to other services(nameservers), pointing domains and subdomains to servers(A, AAAA and CNAME records), setting up mail on a domain(MX records, DKIM & SPF records, text records, autodiscovery records, etc) and in some cases using DNS SRV records to forward TCP & UDP streams to internal services.
